1st Baking Experience 2009

It's been sometime...

Do you have a C.C.A.? My C.C.A. is being a Pupil Librarian. There is always fun activities planned for each session. Each session is 2 hours. There is a few time slots, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Monday's timing is from 1330 to 1530. Vi took Monday's slot. Tuesday's and Thursday's timings are from 1400-1600. Jia Suan, Wan Qing and I chose the Tuesday's slot. The first hour is something planned to let you yourself get closer with the library. The second hour will be doing library duties, examples like shelving books, scanning borrowing and returning books and book checking. We take turns every session.

In term 2, from week 1 to week 3, we were baking stuff. Week 1 we would look for the cook book that we like in the library. Week 2 and 3 we would try out the recipe. When it was Term 2 week 1, Gabrielle, Jia Suan and I paired up. We decided to make a Mud Pie. When it was Term 2 week 2, we tried it out. The recipe indicated that it needs 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder, but instead of putting just 1 tablespoon, we added 2 1/2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. When it is done, it really looks digusting. However, we can't judge a book by its cover. Then, we added our own chocolate sauce and chocolate strands. Miss Mahal said it looks so chocolately. Gabrielle said it is the rotting log community/earthworms' soil. Anyway, we packed it and brought home to try it.

Actually, Jia Suan and I wanted to let Ms. Lim and Mrs. Ariel to try our Mud Pie. We thought that when we gave Mrs. Ariel to try, we would say it is the rotting log community. When it is Ms. Lim's turn, we would touch on percentage. We waited outside their staffroom. But to no avail. They wasn't there. We were very upset. When we carried our schoolbags, preparing to go home, the both of us saw Ms. Lim with Ms. Poh. We were like so devasted why Ms. Lim only appear now??

The Mud Pie was really nice. I had even copied the recipe onto this blog. I got a sore throat and a cough after the Mud Pie as there was too much Chocolate!!!
